A. PREPARE MOUNTING HOLE
Select one of the following places for the faucet.
Be sure it will fit flat against the surface, and there
i
s space to install the tubes underneath the counter.
Install the faucet into an existing hole on the sink.
Drill a new hole into the counter top near the sink.
• Drill a new hole in the top of the sink.
A 1-1/4" diameter hole is required for the faucet.
B. ASSEMBLE FAUCET
If using this faucet with an existing Drinking Water
system, follow manufacturer's installation
instructions for attaching inlet and outlet tubes.
1. Remove the 3/8" quick connect adaptor and nut
from the end of the stud. Slide the lock washer
and spacer onto the stud. (Fig.1)
2.Place faucet through the selected hole in the sink
or countertop. On the underside of the sink or
countertop, slide the metal washer between the
countertop and spacer. Slide the lock washer and
tighten the nut securely.
NOTE: Spacer only needs to be used if installing
onto a sink or countertop less than 1/2"
thick. Otherwise it can be discarded. (Fig.2)
3. If the filtration system used is a simple system
with one outlet and is not a reverse osmosis system
that requires a drain, then skip to step 4.
If a drain line is required to run through the
faucet's integral air gap for a reverse osmosis
(RO) system, connect the 1/4" drain line from the
unit to the smaller barb on the the bottom of the
faucet. Connect the 3/8" line from the faucet to
the drain. This drain line works by gravity. Make it
as short and straight as possible, with no dips or
loops. (Fig.3)
4. Thread the 3/8" quick connect adaptor onto the
end of the stud and tighten securely. Connect the
3/8" water line from the filtration system by
pushing the line into the 3/8" quick connect adaptor.
Pull down on the 3/8" line slightly to ensure the
quick connect fitting has engaged. (Fig.4)
IMPORTANT:Drilling holes into countertops made
o
f stone or solid surface materials
such as granite, marble, Corian
t
m
or
o
ther plastic rosin products or sinks
made of porcelain and stainless steel
should only be performed by a qualified
installer who is certifiled for drilling
s
uch materials. Drilling of these type
surfaces by any other means may cause
permanent, irreparable damage to the
countertop or sink surface.
